My name is Kathy and I am the owner of Emmett’s Edibles, a small gourmet dog treat company where every treat is made by hand. I created the company from my love of dogs, especially my lovable companion Emmett who is a Newfoundland retriever mix.

Having worked in the corporate world for many years I realized it was time to leave and follow my passion.

Emmett’s Edibles treats are made with only the finest human grade all natural and organic ingredients to create a delicious treat. There are no additives, preservatives or artificial colors added.

Emmett and all the dogs who inspired each treat were rescued from shelters. Take a moment to read the stories written by family members to create a whimsical “tail” of the joy and pleasure shelter dogs can provide.

From Emmett

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself. On any given day, you can find me playing with my friends, taking nature walks, and swimming or curled up by the fire watching animal shows. I also spend a lot of my time thinking about baking cookies and treats. I like to come up with cookie and treat recipes that are both nutritious and tasty that I can share with my friends and all of you. Some of my recipes were inspired by my friends, their favorite flavors, adventures and stories. Of all the cookies I make, Signature Spice is my favorite. It combines the flavors I enjoy most, honey and molasses, but most of all cinnamon. After a long walk in the woods, nothing beats the smell and taste of a Signature Spice cookie.

I share my house with six birds, three fish, two humans, and one dog, Oliver. He is my newest friend, and like me and all my friends you will meet on my web-site, he came from a shelter. I never forget how lucky I am to have been rescued by Kathy, the head chef at Emmett’s Edibles, and in an effort to pay it forward; I often donate to help other animals less fortunate than myself.

Please read about all my friends and their favorite cookie or treat…..it just might be yours too!!

Have an adventurous day,
